Membership
Temple Shalom is a warm and welcoming congregational family. Some of us have deep roots of belonging for multiple generations, while others are newer to our community, and many are new to Judaism as well. We serve the entire Upper Ohio Valley, with members coming here to Wheeling from far and wide.
Decades ago, there were other congregations in the area, but today we welcome members from Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, who wish to connect with our faith.
We are proud to be a member of the Union for Reform Judaism, and as the only congregation in the region, we welcome those whose diverse Jewish backgrounds come from other streams of thought as well.

If you live out of town, we offer an Associate Membership (forms available below) that will help you feel connected with us here in Wheeling, and we’ll always save a seat for you any time you’re able to come home for a visit.
