Sabbath & Holidays

Worship is one of the main pillars of our congregation, bringing us together in the celebration of our faith. We offer services every Sabbath eve, and on the evening, first day, and last day of all festivals. Our Shabbat schedule varies from week to week to keep our experience of the liturgy fresh and engaging. Our prayers are uplifted by beautiful music, with accompaniment that varies depending on the occasion.

On the First Friday of each month, our worship begins at 6:00 p.m. with a special service including blessings for all birthdays and anniversaries occurring that month. Immediately following, all are invited to share a Shabbat dinner together in our Social Hall.

On the second Friday of each month, we hold two services: a Tot Shabbat for our younger congregants and their families at 5:30 p.m., with prayers, songs, a story from Rabbi Lief, and pizza for dinner afterward, and then our congregational Erev Shabbat service at 7:00 p.m.

The third Friday night of each month is our Wine Down Kabbalat Shabbat, with wine and cheese, fruit and lemonade, and other tasty treats for a pre-service Oneg Shabbat at 5:00 p.m., followed by a light and lively service that ends in time for all to enjoy Shabbat dinner with family and friends.

The fourth and, on occasion fifth, Friday of each month is our congregational Erev Shabbat service at 7:00p.m., with and One Shabbat to follow.

Our holiday worship schedule varies, but our first day and last day morning worship services are always at 10:30 a.m. for Passover, Shavuot, and Sukkot. For the High Holy Days, please contact the Temple Office at (304) 233-4870 for a full schedule of worship times.
